Meet Lauren

Lauren is a Director, Intimacy Coordinator/Director and Producer based in Northern CA with a background in theatre, film, immersive experiences, and literary management. Lauren holds a BA in theatre from San Francisco State University and the University of East Anglia (UK). 

Over the past 20 years, Lauren has worked across a multitude of fields within the entertainment industry, and utilizes those learned skills to navigate safe, intentional, and bold scenes of intimacy. Throughout her career, building trust and collaborating with actors has always been at the forefront of her practice.  Within this role, she creates a streamlined creative process for actors and the production team to feel confident in bringing stories of intimacy to life.  

Lauren’s specific IC training and education is from IDC Professionals, a leading SAG accredited certification organization, and Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE). 

Prior to her work as an Intimacy Coordinator, she’s worked across the Bay Area and Los Angeles as a co-founder and resident director of a theatre company, podcast producer, award-winning short film director, theatre director, stage manager, and served as Head of Development for a production company. 

Aside from her work as an IC, you can find her creative directing immersive experiences for Renaissance Faires and Haunted Houses.  Lauren splits her time between Northern and Southern CA, and is available for work throughout the US and Europe, as she is a dual Italian-American citizen.
